Life has many adventures and journeys in store for us, we just have to open our eyes and be willing to experience them anyway they present themselves. Adventures do not have to occur when we take those much anticipated plane rides to exotic locations to experience new cultures or sights. Or long road trips across our home countries. These adventures and journeys will happen every day of our lives in all shapes and sizes. Like the harrowing ventures we take on a simple task like an escape to a grocery store, add kids into the mix and it becomes an astounding adventure. A walk in the park is a journey all its own with the sights and sounds that slowly creep their way through us, begging us to understand and experience them in new, fantastic ways. These small, daily getaways are just as refreshing and invigorating as those much needed vacations miles away from home.
I left home a little over a year ago to stay in a country where adventure is the top order of the day. The amazing things I have seen, the wonderful people I have met and the intriguing cultural experiences this country has to offer has made the start of my travelling journey a marvelous one. America has a lot to offer in the way of travels with its mind blowing landmarks, like the Statue of Liberty or Yellowstone National Park. And I have certainly seen my fair share of all of these. Yet I find the best times I have had to date where those unplanned trips and moments with the rare, special friends I meet along the way. Adventures are undeniably fun, but throw a couple of friends into the mix and they become outstanding memories that will last a lifetime and will certainly be treasured forever. My book of memories is starting to burst at the seams already with all the great moments I have stored up.
This blog is all about the adventures and experiences we encounter. Sometimes it will be to amazing places, but most often it will be the adventures we all share on a daily basis. From the little escapes we have in our backyard to the ones that require a well thought out plan and a terrific end destination, this will surely be a blog to inspire you to find your own adventures in life no matter how big or small they may be. Henry Miller once said that, "One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things," I am ready to have wonderful adventures and see the world in a whole new, glorious light.
